The heat pipe material used in the flue gas heat exchange equipment of petrochemical heating furnaces is ND steel; after being used at around 150 degrees Celsius for over a year, corrosion and ash deposition occurred, which severely reduced the service life of the heat exchange equipment as well as its efficiency. What anti-corrosion measures can be taken for heat exchange equipment under such operating conditions to solve this problem?
To address the issues of corrosion and scaling in the heat pipes of flue gas heat exchange equipment used in petrochemical heating furnaces, solutions can be found in the following areas: 1. **Choosing more corrosion-resistant materials**: Although ND steel possesses a certain degree of corrosion resistance, it may not be sufficient to resist corrosion under specific operating conditions. Consider using higher-grade corrosion-resistant materials, such as stainless steel or special alloy materials; although these materials are more expensive, they offer better resistance to corrosion. 2. **Use of anti-corrosion coatings**: Applying anti-corrosion coatings to the surface of heat pipes, such as ceramic coatings or special high-temperature anti-corrosion coatings, can effectively isolate the corrosive components in flue gas and protect the base material. 3. **Optimize operating conditions**: Adjust the operating parameters of the heating furnace, such as temperature, pressure, and flue gas flow rate, to reduce the risk of corrosion and scaling. For example, reducing the temperature of the flue gas or decreasing the contact time of the flue gas containing corrosive components. 4. **Regular cleaning and maintenance**: Establish a regular schedule for cleaning and maintaining heat pipes, using chemical or physical methods to remove deposits inside the pipes, such as high-pressure water jets or chemical cleaners, in order to restore heat exchange efficiency and extend the equipment’s lifespan. 5. **Use of corrosion inhibitors**: Corrosion inhibitors are added to the flue gas; these chemicals form a protective layer on the metal surface, preventing the corrosive agents from coming into direct contact with the metal. By comprehensively applying the above methods, the corrosion and scaling of heat pipes in the flue gas heat exchange equipment of petrochemical heaters can be effectively mitigated or resolved. .
