Corrosion occurs on the heating water side of the heating water heat exchanger used in the constant pressure and reduced pressure units of the petrochemical industry; the heating water flows inside this exchanger, with a pressure of 0.65 MpPa and a temperature of 95 degrees. This heat exchanger has been in use for over 2 years, and the tube sheet and heat exchange tubes are severely corroded. Under these operating conditions, the inner wall of the tube bundle can be protected against corrosion.
To address the corrosion issue on the inner wall of heating water heat exchangers, the following anti-corrosion measures can be considered: 1. Choose corrosion-resistant materials: Use materials with good corrosion resistance such as stainless steel and titanium alloys as the materials for the heat exchanger’s tube sheets and tube bundles. 2. Inner wall coating treatment: Apply special high-temperature and corrosion-resistant coatings to the inner wall of the heat exchanger, or carry out electroplating to enhance its corrosion resistance. 3. Water quality treatment: Regularly analyze and treat the heating water to control the levels of corrosive substances in it, such as chloride ions and sulfates. 4. Install corrosion prevention equipment: Add cathodic protection devices to the system, etc., to protect metal pipes from corrosion by using sacrificial anodes. 5. Regular inspection and maintenance: Periodically inspect the heat exchanger and carry out necessary repairs to detect and address corrosion issues in a timely manner. The above methods can effectively slow down or prevent corrosion on the heating water side, thereby extending the service life of the heat exchanger. .
