In the atmospheric tower of the atmospheric and vacuum equipment, the corrosion rate before injection exceeded the standard. How did each unit control it? My device uses cold reflux at the top of the tower, no circulating reflux, and the cold reflux temperature is about 50 degrees, which is lower than the dew point temperature. Corrosion cannot be controlled. Does your peers have any successful experience in injecting chemicals into the cold reflux line or controlling corrosion at the top of the tower?
1. Blending low-sulfur oil. 2. Increase the amount of water injection. 3. Add a water injection point in front of the heat exchanger. 4. Pressure reduction operation at the top of the tower. We finally increased the water injection volume from 3.5 to 8t/h and the corrosion was controlled.
