The image below shows the corrosion of the tube bundle in the residue cooler of a petrochemical coking unit. The structural type is floating head type. The tube bundle is made of 20# steel, and the operating medium is residue oil outside the tube bundle. Temperature 120 degrees, pressure 1.2 MPa. The inner wall of the tube bundle is: the operating medium is the circulating water inside the tube bundle. Temperature 30 degrees, pressure 0.4 MPa. This tube bundle has been in use for nearly 2 years, and the outer walls of its heat exchange tubes are severely coked.
