Zhaoqing’s 50,000-ton powder coating project has been approved

Recently, the Sihui Branch of the Zhaoqing Ecology and Environment Bureau issued a public notice regarding the pre-approval process for the Qianjiang High-Tech Powder Coating Production Base project, and this news has drawn widespread attention within the coating industry. According to China and Foreign Coatings Network, the project is located in plot LF02-03-07-A of the Guangdong-Guangxi Cooperation Special Pilot Zone (Zhaoqing) (Dinghu Lianhua-Fuxi City Management Start-up Area), on the west side of Changxing Avenue (within the Guangdong-Guangxi Cooperation Special Pilot Zone). The project covers an area of 51,481.24 square meters, with a building area of 83,410.52 square meters. The total investment amounts to approximately 500 million yuan, of which 3.5 million yuan is allocated to environmental protection measures. The project focuses primarily on the production of powder coatings, and upon completion it will have a significant manufacturing capacity of 50,000 tons of powder coatings per year. It is worth noting that once the project is completed and operational, it is expected to generate an annual output value of around 600 million yuan and annual tax revenues of about 23 million yuan, thus making a significant contribution to the local economic development. The entity responsible for implementing the project is Zhaoqing Huajiang New Materials Co., Ltd., which was established on January 11, 2024, with Yi Xiaojun as its legal representative. Its business scope is very broad, covering areas such as paint manufacturing, plastic product manufacturing, import and export of goods and technologies, rental of non-residential real estate, spraying processing, and various technical services. The implementation of this project will not only further increase Qianjiang High-Tech’s production capacity and market share in the powder coating industry, thereby strengthening its leading position in this sector, but it will also inject new momentum into the development of the coating industry in Zhaoqing, contributing significantly to the high-quality growth of the local economy. As the approval process moves forward steadily, the project is expected to begin construction in the near future, bringing new development opportunities to the coating industry – something that both those within and outside the industry look forward to with interest.
