The recommended materials for the reactors and regenerators in catalytic cracking units are as follows: **Reactor (settler)**: - Shell: carbon steel + heat-insulating and wear-resistant lining - Cyclone separator: carbon steel and 15CrMo - Stripping section: 15CrMo and carbon steel + heat-insulating and wear-resistant lining **Regenerator**: - Shell: carbon steel + heat-insulating and wear-resistant lining - Internal components: - Cyclone separator: usually 15CrMo or 18-8 stainless steel (such as 304H) - Lift rods: generally 15CrMo or carbon steel (with a wear-resistant coating on the surface) - Distribution plates/distribution tubes: mostly 15CrMo or 310S stainless steel (resistant to high-temperature corrosion) - Hoisting rods: generally 15CrMo or low-alloy steel **Medium temperature**: The temperature inside the regenerator is high, typically ranging from 650–750°C (and sometimes even higher); therefore, materials resistant to high temperatures and corrosion must be used for the internal components. The reactor temperature is slightly lower, around 500–550°C, but the stripping section and cyclone separator may be affected by high temperatures in certain areas. .
