According to Sinochem New Network, on November 25, Lubrizol Corporation and Zhejiang Fulai New Materials Co., Ltd. officially signed a memorandum of cooperation. The two parties will establish a strategic partnership in the field of innovative materials such as bio-based coatings, biodegradable coatings, special printing coatings, and high-barrier flexible packaging coatings, with the aim of jointly developing sustainable coating materials. According to the memorandum, the two parties will establish a joint working group to systematically advance the development and application of new-generation biodegradable environmentally friendly coating resins, functional coating resins, high-performance inks resins, and other related technologies through regular information sharing and joint research efforts. This partnership will leverage Lubrizol’s research and development strengths in the field of specialty chemicals, along with Fulai New Materials’ extensive experience in the manufacturing and market application of coated composite materials, to develop environmentally friendly material solutions that are recyclable and reprocessable, thereby offering customers more competitive products. The cooperation will focus on the use of environmentally friendly papers such as paper cups and oil-proof paper in the field of food packaging, as well as the application of special functional coatings in areas like label materials. With the technical support provided by Lubrizol, including bio-based and biodegradable coatings, Fulai New Materials will be able to produce a range of differentiated products to meet the growing market demand for environmentally friendly and high-performance materials.
