Flash rust inhibitors can be roughly divided into two categories. 1. The first category consists of traditional salt-based products such as sodium nitrite, sodium molybdate, strontium chromate, etc. These products are inexpensive, effective, and require low usage amounts; they still remain quite competitive to this day. However, its disadvantages include being environmentally unfriendly, toxic, and causing pollution to water resources; it faces pressure from all sectors of society, especially since nitrites easily lose their ability to prevent rust formation in aqueous systems ； 2. The second category consists of products made from organic polymer amines. These products are alternatives developed on the basis of traditional products, or they represent improvements and enhancements to their properties. Alkynol metal anti-rust inhibitors belong to the organic polymer category. It is different from organic amine polymer inhibitors. The alkyne alcohol group provides better wetting protection on metal surfaces, while the alkyne bond offers better chelation and slow-release effects with metals.
