How to store light naphtha?

Light naphtha should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse, away from sources of fire and heat. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C; the containers must remain sealed, and it should be stored separately from oxidizers and acids – mixed storage is strictly prohibited. Light naphtha is a flammable liquid characterized by high volatility and a low flash point; its vapors can form explosive mixtures with air. Therefore, the storage area must be equipped with explosion-proof lighting and ventilation systems, and the use of mechanical equipment and tools that may generate sparks is prohibited. To reduce evaporation losses, storage in internal floating roof tanks can be used, which is particularly suitable for light naphtha with a final boiling point of less than 130°C. The storage area should be equipped with emergency response equipment for leaks (such as absorbent cotton, oil booms, and dry sand) as well as appropriate containment materials to prevent the spread of leaks. Flame arrestors must be installed during transportation, and it is strictly prohibited to mix or transport it together with oxidizers, acids, food-grade chemicals, etc.
