If one works in piping design now, what are the career prospects in the future? I only master the “three transmissions”; my level of “one reversal” is very low
If you have a choice, I suggest going into the process engineering field; if you choose pipeline work, plan to switch to process engineering or become a project manager in a few years, as there is no future in working solely in pipeline installation.
Piping is considered a downstream specialty – it’s a tough job with little recognition. Any change in the upstream processes requires extensive modifications; for example, if there’s a slight adjustment to the PID settings in the process control system, the model has to be altered for a long time, and still, people end up taking the blame. In short, it’s a demanding job with low pay, perhaps because the entry requirements for this field are relatively low.
