When drawing PID flowcharts, engineers often encounter situations where there are several identical units with exactly the same process flow. In Diagrams, how can one copy such flowcharts quickly? Next, we will use Diagrams drawing A1-51-2002 copied as A1-51-2003 as an example to learn these techniques together. The steps are as follows: 1. Save the PID to be copied: Complete the drawing of the PID for the same device, then click the Project option on the Diagram toolbar, select Save Diagram As or press the shortcut key F12. A dialog box will appear; save drawing A1-51-2002 as A1-51-2003, choose Diagram (SCDIAG) as the save type, and then click Save. 2. Set data attributes for copying: Follow the steps from the previous step, and a dialog box will appear. Select \"Copy options\" to set the data attributes of the drawing after copying. Choose the desired data attributes from the list, and check the \"Refresh\" option to automatically refresh the copied drawing. Additionally, the “Location for new elements” option allows users to set the location where the drawings are saved, according to their needs. 3. Complete drawing copying: After completing the settings in Step 2, press the Enter key on the computer, and the drawing will be copied automatically. After the copying is complete, a dialog box will appear as shown below; click “Yes” to save the copied drawing. 4. Rename: The drawing created through quick copying inherits all data attributes of the original drawing, such as equipment, valves, instruments, etc. We only need to rename the data in the copied drawing according to the PID number, thereby quickly creating drawings with the same PID. As shown in the figure below: after copying, the device name becomes Copy-of-C1101. Simply change the Name in the shape data to C1101A, and all instances of Copy-of-C1101 in the diagram will be automatically renamed to C1101A.
