Seamless steel tubes for structural use, in accordance with GB/T8162 standards, used for manufacturing pipes, containers, equipment, fittings, and seamless steel tubes for mechanical structures ； Seamless steel pipes for fluid transportation, in accordance with the GB/T8163 standard, are general seamless steel pipes used for transporting fluids such as water, oil, and gas ； The main difference between the two is that steel pipes specified by the GB/T8163 standard are subjected to hydraulic testing, as well as ultrasonic, eddy current, and magnetic flux leakage inspections on a per-pipe basis; therefore, for the selection of standards for steel pipes used in pressure pipelines, the GB/T8162 standard should not be adopted.
