When using the HaoChen CAD drawing software to view and edit CAD drawings, we sometimes find that certain CAD references cannot be saved after being edited. What is the reason for this? Let me give you a detailed introduction next! Reason why CAD cannot be saved while editing reference blocks: Saving is not possible in the refedit mode, that is, when reference editing is in progress; it is necessary to end the refedit mode first before saving. 1. Usually, a reference editing toolbar appears when referencing for editing; after the reference editing is completed, you need to click the save or exit button to end the reference editing mode. 2. If the reference editing toolbar has already been closed at this point, there are two ways to handle it: (1) Right-click anywhere on the toolbar to reopen the reference editing toolbar, then click the “Save” button. (Of course, higher versions of CAD use the RIBBON interface; in this interface, toolbars cannot be accessed directly. If you are still using the classic interface, then it is still possible to do this.) (2) Another option is to enter the command refclose, and follow the prompts to save or exit reference editing mode. 3. In the higher versions of HaoChen CAD, a new block editing method called bedit is provided; it allows dynamic parameters and actions to be set for blocks. After editing, it is also necessary to click the close button to exit block editing mode, otherwise the file cannot be saved. Extended reading: How can HaoChen CAD apply a material to a specific face of a solid? 1. Use the “Copy Face” command to copy this face in its original position. The location of this command is: 3D Modeling space – “Common” tab – “Solid Editing” panel – dropdown list under “Extrude Face”. 2. Open the material browser and find the material to be attached. 3. Select the face that was just copied, then click on the material you want to attach to it. The above covers the reasons why saving changes isn’t possible when using the HaoChen CAD software to create CAD drawings, as well as the solutions for this issue. In addition, it explains how to apply materials to certain surfaces of solids in HaoChen CAD; I hope this will be helpful to everyone.
Try not to use block references; when the file is sent to someone else, the external references will be lost as the directories are different
