In recent years, BIM technology has seen rapid development in the field of large-scale civil engineering, but it seems that similar technologies have not been adopted in the chemical engineering sector. Software such as PDS and PDMS is currently used only for creating 3D models and conducting collision checks during the design phase in design firms; it is less utilized in construction processes. For example, clients and construction companies could use these 3D models to share key information and incorporate it into the models, thereby enabling visualized construction and progress control. Could it be that these software programs are not as widely used as BIM-based tools like REVIT, which makes it difficult for all parties to utilize them together?
