This tool was originally created by zhongshidachen; the source code related to the output of property files in this tool was gathered from AVEVAWORLDFORUM (AVEVA World Forum – AVEVA Forum, Plant & Marine Design software). The original author is Neil R Holmes, who was later modified and enhanced by zhongshidachen. In PDMS and E3D, when exporting RVM files, it is possible to use the interface functions for export; in such cases, additional color settings are required, otherwise the exported model will be white by default. It is also possible to export using command-line statements, and thanks to Autocolour support, no additional color settings are needed to maintain the same colors as the original model. Here, automatic export of RVM files with customized colors is achieved through a custom interface. Additionally, for attribute files/ATT files, only standard attributes can be exported by default; this tool has been enhanced to first filter out some unnecessary attributes in order to speed up the export process, and second, to provide some commonly used pseudo-attributes as options for users to choose from. Usage: Due to copyright issues, this tool has been taken off the market. Updated on June 20, 2022: The program has been updated to support the output of TUBE properties, allowing users to view the properties of pipes in Naviswork

May I ask, in RVM format models, how can the attributes of TUBE be exported? I want to view attributes such as the length and specifications of TUBE in Navisworks.
It’s really an interesting question. I did some research – in PDMS, the standard functions do not allow the export of TUBE attributes; in E3D, it is possible to export them (Dump Attribute provides such an option), but the format is different from that of RVM, so the data cannot be read. So I updated the source code, adjusted the format exported by RVM (by outputting TUBE separately), and modified the format of TUBE’s export to match that of RVM, so that the properties can be viewed seamlessly in Naviswork.
