Dear experts: What are the normal values for the ammonia net value, synthesis pressure, and inert gas content in everyone’s operating units? How to increase production and reduce costs? Please give me some advice! !
The normal value of inert gas content is related to the fresh gas purification process; for example, with the \"low-temperature methanol washing + liquid nitrogen washing\" process, there is virtually no methane in the fresh gas. With other purification processes, it may also be related to the type of coal and the coal gasification process. The synthesis pressure is related to the content of inert gases in the fresh gas; when the inert gas content is high (around 1%), operation is typically carried out at 18–22 MPa. If the content is lower, the consumption of fresh gas per ton of ammonia increases, and when the inert gas content is very low, operation is generally done at 12–15 MPa. The ammonia net value is also related to the content of inert gases in the fresh gas; a lower content of inert gases generally results in a higher ammonia net value.
For ammonia production using natural gas, our company’s ammonia purity level is greater than 12. The synthesis pressure operates within the range of 13.80–13.89. There are many types of inert gases, but their specifics are not known. In winter, the daily ammonia production is between 103–104 tons, while in summer it is between 98–100 tons
