Project Overview Project Name: Project for Energy-Saving Upgrade of the Ammonia Synthesis and Urea Production Facility at Kuitun Jinjiang Chemical Co., Ltd. Nature of the project: Technical upgrade. Location of construction: Zone 1, Kuitun-Dushanzi Economic and Technological Development Zone. Contents of the technical upgrade: This technical upgrade project aims to implement energy-saving improvements on the existing facilities capable of producing 520,000 tons per year of urea and 120,000 tons per year of melamine. Through 13 various energy-saving measures such as concentration improvement using water-coal slurry, compression and recovery of nitrogen gas from vent streams, cold energy recovery, as well as recovery of waste heat from the synthesis refrigeration system, the overall production capacity of the plant is expected to reach 420,000 tons per year for urea and 180,000 tons per year for melamine.
