How many years are large-unit dry gas seals generally used for? Should it be replaced on a regular basis or based on its condition? How should dry gas seals in inventory be managed? Is it necessary to replace auxiliary seals such as O-rings after a certain period of time? If so, what is the duration?
Basically, they’re all of the sort that aren’t bad but also not worth replacing; the main issue is that the price is quite high.
It is only when there is a problem that it is replaced; generally, the unit runs continuously with few stops, and the oil and gas inside the pipelines also act as a form of protection for the sealing rings!
Seals are generally not replaced regularly, unless they are changed along with the major overhaul of the unit
