In the Dongying area of Shandong, prices in the methanol market are hovering around 1,850–1,900 yuan per ton ex-warehouse; these prices may drop further as deals are finalized, with expectations that they will remain at a low level, depending on the prices received by downstream buyers. In the methanol market in northern Jiangsu, the ex-plant prices of some products dropped by 170 yuan per ton, reaching 2030 yuan per ton, while most products still have no quoted prices. Downstream demand is limited, and market trading remains sluggish. Negotiations in the methanol market in Anhui region are limited, with the market-guided price ranging at 2070–2100 yuan per ton on credit. Most downstream manufacturers and traders have not resumed operations, resulting in weak trading activity at the plant. Trading in the methanol market in the Two Lakes region is sluggish. Hubei-based companies are offering stable prices; there is inventory available for shipment, and some companies are operating at reduced capacity.
