According to Shanxi Tianze Coal Chemical Industry, on the morning of August 12, 2023, Tianze Group held a meeting in the multi-functional hall on the third floor to advance the construction of the gasification upgrade project for Yongfeng Company. Li Hu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and General Manager of the group company, reported on the progress of the construction of the company’s gasification upgrade project and arranged tasks for the next phase of work. In accordance with the decisions and plans of the group company as well as the project schedule, the gasification upgrade project of Yongfeng Company is scheduled to begin trial operation in June next year. Four new gasifiers as part of the gasification upgrade project at the coal gasification plant will begin trial operation in August next year. The remaining 28 gasifiers will be shut down for renovation in phases; 12 of these gasifiers are scheduled to begin trial operations in April 2025, while the final 16 are planned to come online in December 2025. According to the information disclosed in the environmental impact assessment, Yongfeng Company will construct 12 DN3600 pure oxygen continuous gasification furnaces to replace the existing 40 fixed-bed batch gasification furnaces. The coal gasification plant has installed 36 new DN3000 pure oxygen continuous gas generation furnaces to replace the existing atmospheric pressure fixed-bed gas generation furnaces.
