Hunan Chemical Engineering Institute Wins the General Contract for Jufeng Hydrogen Peroxide Project Author/Source: Sinochem News Network Date: 2020-09-11 Clicks: 25 On September 3, Hunan Chemical Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd., which is part of China Energy Engineering Group Hunan Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. (referred to as Hunan Institute), signed the contract for the second phase of the Jufeng New Energy Hydrogen Peroxide Project in Heze, Shandong – the largest general contracting project the institute has ever undertaken. This project is the first true turnkey project for the Chemical Engineering Institute’s engineering transformation following its integration into Hunan Institute. The construction scope of the project mainly includes hydrogenation, oxidation, extraction, post-treatment, purification, concentration, and preparation of working fluids; 3×2000 cubic meter product storage areas, working fluid storage areas, along with associated loading and unloading facilities; as well as wastewater pretreatment facilities, a new circulating water system, and a pure water system; new power distribution and transformation facilities for the workshops, instrument cabinets, high-voltage cabinets that require capacity expansion in the first-phase power distribution room, along with the corresponding cable trays; and the basic design and installation work for the equipment to be purchased by the client for each sub-project. The project adopts the fully acidic hydrogen peroxide process technology from the Chemical Engineering Institute. The technical advantages of this process lie mainly in the preparation and selection of catalysts, the formulation of new working fluids, the improvement and optimization of process equipment, the design of unique production processes and control systems, as well as a comprehensive and efficient safety and environmental protection system; it is expected to set a benchmark for the hydrogen peroxide industry in China.
