Four departments release the list of water efficiency leaders among key water-consuming enterprises in 2020 Author/Source: Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China Date: 2020-10-15 Clicks: 20 Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China Ministry of Water Resources of the People’s Republic of China National Development and Reform Commission of the People’s Republic of China State Administration for Market Regulation Announcement No. 39, 2020 In order to implement the **Water Conservation Action Plan** and continue to improve the efficiency of industrial water use, in accordance with the requirements set out in the “Notice on Carrying Out the Selection of Water Efficiency Leaders Among Key Water-Consuming Enterprises in 2020” (MIIT Joint Letter on Water Conservation [2019] No. 288), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Water Resources, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the State Administration for Market Regulation organized an initiative to identify water efficiency leaders among key water-consuming enterprises for 2020. Thirty enterprises that can serve as role models and examples in terms of water efficiency were selected (the list is attached hereto), and this is hereby announced. The title of Water Efficiency Leader is valid for 2 years from the date of issuance. Water efficiency leader enterprises should use a unified Water Efficiency Leader logo. Provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government are encouraged to develop supportive policies, carry out extensive activities aimed at achieving water efficiency standards, and promote the green and high-quality development of the manufacturing sector.
