On October 21, with the successful completion of a series of preparatory tasks such as oil transportation, individual unit tests, sequential commissioning, and steel rod installation, the commissioning of the coal grinder in the gasification unit was successfully finished. Now, the conditions for coal slurry preparation tests are available, laying a solid foundation for the successful production of high-quality coal water slurry. It is understood that the coal grinder is a key rotating equipment in the gasification unit, as well as a critical device in the slurry preparation system of that unit. Good slurry properties are crucial for the safe operation of the gasifier, and they are also an important factor affecting the effective components of the raw gas. To ensure the smooth progress of the water-coal slurry preparation tests, this facility established a dedicated task force for coal slurry testing, organizing special meetings with the general contractor, coal grinder manufacturers, construction units, etc., to continuously discuss and optimize the testing plan for water-coal slurry preparation. Next, all personnel at the gasification unit will focus on carrying out coal slurry preparation tests, and make every effort to ensure the airtightness of the unit’s systems, as well as to conduct pipeline purging and pressure testing and anti-corrosion/insulation work, so as to guarantee the successful completion of the commissioning process for the gasification unit.
