Contents of the renovation project for the ammonia purification system at Tianyuan Chemical Industry: In September 2020, Hebei Tianyuan Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. posted a second public announcement on its official website regarding the environmental impact assessment of the energy-saving upgrade and related renovation projects for the company’s ammonia purification system. The renovation of the ammonia purification system at Tianyuan Chemical was carried out in conjunction with the upgrade of gasification to an Anhui Keda fluidized bed. According to the public information, the scope of the energy-saving upgrade and related renovation work for the purification system includes adding two adsorption towers and two vacuum pumps to the second stage of PSA carbon removal in System 1# ； The 2# system is equipped with a new set of equipment featuring a full low-temperature shift reactor, converter gas desulfurization, and a DN3000 carbon-propane decarburization unit (replacing the currently in use DN2800 decarburization device). The compressor has been modified to have three compression stages before the gas enters the shift reactor section, while the existing 0.8MPa shift system has been shut down. After the renovation, the production capacities of synthetic ammonia and urea remain unchanged.
