Construction of the gasification section of Jiangsu Debang Xinghua ammonia synthesis project begins

The construction of the gasification phase of Jiangsu Debang Xinghua’s synthetic ammonia project has begun. According to Qingchuang Jinhua, on November 17, 2020, an inauguration ceremony was held for the civil engineering and installation work related to the 350,000 tons per year synthetic ammonia project as part of Jiangsu Debang Xinghua’s relocation and renovation project. The gasification section is constructed by Sinochem Second Construction. For the relocation and renovation project of Jiangsu Debang Xinghua Chemical, the 350,000 tons per year synthetic ammonia production facility utilizes two Beijing Qingchuang Jinhua water-cooled wall waste boiler gasification units (Jinhua furnaces) file:///C:\Users\ADMINI~1\AppData\Local\Temp\ksohtml14268\wps1.png3.0. Two-stage design, vaporization pressure of 6.5 MPa, total gas flow rate of 11,000 m3/h (CO + H2). Production is scheduled to begin in 2021. Air Products of the United States is investing in partnership with Debong Xinghua Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. Air Products holds 80% of the shares, while DBS Group holds 20%. The parties will jointly own and operate air separation units, gasification, and purification facilities; under a 20-year contract, they will charge a fixed monthly fee to supply syngas to DBS Group’s chemical plants, which have an annual production capacity of 350,000 tons. Debang Company plans to produce 350,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 600,000 tons of caustic soda, 300,000 tons of urea, and 500,000 tons of high-efficiency compound fertilizers per year.
