Recently, the technical center of Jinfeng Coal Chemical’s regional company, along with specialized technicians from its factories, held a video conference with Professor Yang from the Chinese Academy of Sciences to discuss new high-efficiency anti-scaling technologies for circulating water. Professor Yang gave an introduction to the research background, basic principles and process flow of the new technology, as well as its technical advantages. 70%-80% of the industrial water consumption is used in circulating cooling water systems, and the scaling problem in the heat exchangers within these systems is one of the main challenges to be addressed in heat transfer. At present, the main descaling technology used by Jinfeng Company is the addition of chemicals, which has issues such as high costs and chemical pollution, limiting its scope of application. The basic principle of the new high-efficiency anti-scaling system is that scale tends to deposit preferentially on carriers with strong affinity, and the carriers must have a high specific gravity in order to meet the requirements for rapid precipitation and separation. Compared with Jinfeng Company’s existing descaling technologies, this technique can efficiently extract and separate the scaling components from the circulating water and remove them from the system, thereby significantly reducing scaling on the heat exchangers. It does not produce any polluting substances, allows for a much higher concentration ratio, and offers excellent environmental and economic benefits. The relevant technical personnel will carry out technical cooperation based on the current water quality of the company and the problems that arise in the actual operation of the circulating water system, thereby laying a solid foundation for the safe, environmentally friendly, economical, and efficient operation of the company’s circulating water system.
