CNCF Fuling Ammonia Synthesis Project: Catalyst loading completed for the first unit Author/Source: CNCF Fuling Date: 2021-12-02 Clicks: 7 On December 1, the ammonia synthesis project team successfully completed the catalyst loading for the first methanation reactor. To ensure the smooth progress of the project construction, the ammonia synthesis department prepared a filling plan in advance and coordinated with the construction team regarding matters such as the filling site and timing. It took advantage of breaks and lunch times during the construction team’s work schedule to carry out the catalyst filling tasks. During the filling process, the project department assigns dedicated personnel to strictly follow the specified filling procedures to ensure the quality of the filling. Due to the involvement of work in confined spaces and lifting operations, strict safety supervision was implemented at the site, along with rigorous adherence to operational procedures, to ensure the successful completion of the catalyst loading process. After three days of intensive work, the filling of the 4.5 m3 ceramic balls and the 14.02 m3 catalyst in the methanation furnace of the ammonia synthesis department was completed in its entirety.
That’s quite fast; just three months ago it was still being used for lifting equipment
