The methanol production unit of Weihua Company’s Phase II facility has resumed operations. Author/Source: Weihua Group. Date: 2022-01-22. Clicks: 27. Recently, methanol was produced as a result of gas discharge from the synthesis unit of Phase II, marking the resumption of operations of this methanol production unit. Since last November, as a result of the **energy control policies, the Phase II unit of Shuangjia was shut down voluntarily, remaining offline for over 80 days in total. On the afternoon of the 16th, in accordance with the company’s arrangements, and after taking into account the production costs associated with the overloaded operation of the first and third units as well as the scenario of all three units operating at high load levels, along with expectations for the future methanol market, it was decided to resume the operation of the second methanol unit. Upon receiving the instructions, the production department immediately initiated the relevant workflows, issued the startup plan for the second-phase methanol plant, and processed the necessary permits for its operation. Once the three sets of units are operating stably, the production system will continue to strictly implement the company’s “12369” work plan, working methodically to continuously improve the operational quality of these units. By leveraging the scale and marginal benefits associated with their operation, efficiency will be enhanced, and goals related to energy savings, carbon reduction, water conservation, and emission cuts will be achieved, thus helping to win the battle for clean production.
