What are the specification requirements for the sulfur compound (S) content in agricultural-grade ammonium bicarbonate?
There are no specified limits for sulfides in agricultural ammonium bicarbonate. For agricultural purposes, sulfur is a secondary element that is beneficial to plants. I wonder what the OP’s intention is in asking this question. Could it be that the sulfide content is relatively high during the production of ammonium bicarbonate? It depends on what it is specifically; if it is to be used as an agricultural fertilizer, then the relevant fertilizer standards need to be considered.
Some people say that too much sulfur can burn the roots of crops; the sulfides here are NH4HS or HS- trapped within them.
