Energy sector ● Coal-to-hydrogen projects: Hydrogen is produced from coal through processes such as gasification; for example, in the Inner Mongolia Jingneng Coal Chemical Green Hydrogen Demonstration Project, the hydrogen production facility is equipped with 60 sets of alkaline electrolysis units capable of producing 1000 Nm3/h of hydrogen each. The maximum production capacity is 60,000 Nm3/h, while the average production capacity is 32,400 Nm3/h, resulting in an annual hydrogen production volume of 25,000 tons. ●Coal-to-methanol-to-olefins project: Coal is first converted into methanol, which is then used through methanol-to-olefins technology to produce olefin products such as ethylene and propylene. For example, the 6 million tons per year methanol production project of Xinjiang Qiya New Materials Co., Ltd., once completed, will enable the production of 6 million tons of methanol as well as other high-value-added products. ●Integrated solar and wind hydrogen production project: Jinchu (Kharachin Banner) New Energy Co., Ltd.’s integrated solar and wind hydrogen production project in Inner Mongolia makes use of 300MW of wind energy to produce hydrogen through an off-grid green electricity system; the annual output value is expected to reach 600 million yuan. In the field of materials: ● Coal-based biodegradable materials project: The demonstration project at Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd. belonging to the Energy Group, which is capable of producing 50,000 tons of polyglycolic acid (PGA) biodegradable materials per year, successfully completed its production process in September 2022. This marks the world’s first industrial-scale production of polyglycolic acid biodegradable materials derived from coal. Shandong Rongxin Group Co., Ltd.’s bio-degradable plastic integrated industry project, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan, focuses on the construction of facilities for producing 240,000 tons per year of 1,4-butanediol (BDO), 120,000 tons per year of polyhexanedioic acid/butylene terephthalate (PBAT), 60,000 tons per year of polybutenedioic acid butyl ester (PBS), as well as 50,000 tons per year of succinic acid. ●Coal-based carbon fiber project: Through the deep processing of coal chemical products such as coal tar, high-quality carbon sources are extracted, and high-performance carbon fibers are produced via complex manufacturing processes; these fibers can be used in fields such as aerospace and high-end sports equipment. ●Coal-based graphene project: Extracting graphene from coal or producing graphene-like materials. Graphene possesses excellent electrical, thermal, and mechanical properties, and can be applied in various fields such as electronics, energy storage, and composite materials. In the field of new energy, the Demonstration Project on Full-Vanadium Flow Battery Energy Storage Integration Technology: This project aims to integrate the \"green\" electricity generated by photovoltaic systems, along with full-vanadium flow battery energy storage technology developed by the Institute of Applied Chemistry and green hydrogen, into the production process of Zhongke Synthetic Oil Inner Mongolia Co., Ltd. It seeks to establish the first major technical demonstration facility in China that combines \"green electricity + large-capacity energy storage + green hydrogen\".
