I’ve looked up a lot of information on demineralized water and softened water, and it seems that softened water is more suitable as a cooling fluid for machine seals as well as for cleaning purposes. I don’t understand why some factories use demineralized water instead ? ?
Cost is one reason. In softened water, there is generally no lack of chloride ions, as it passes through sodium ion exchange beds, which simply replace calcium and magnesium ions with sodium ions. ； Desalinated water, on the other hand, is water in which the vast majority of salts are removed through processes such as reverse osmosis, anion and cation exchange resins, and mixed-bed resins, thereby removing suspended solids as well as inorganic anions and cations. So by looking at the overall process, one can figure out the costs~~~~~~ The maintenance costs for pumping machines are compared to those of the personnel involved in water production equipment and processes; it’s necessary to do the calculations to determine whether there’s more or less cost involved~~~~

Indeed, the water cooler became clogged with scale some time ago~~~~ In fact, softened water is sufficient; if the pipes don’t corrode, then they’re not really pipes anymore~~~~ If there’s no loss at all, then it’s not a refinery~~~~
Otherwise, there would be nothing to do during the annual maintenance work~~~~ A few years ago, when I went out for training, some refineries used fresh water for cooling~~~~
The wealthy are capricious; in our remote mountainous areas, we can only appoint people to such positions. By the way, have you considered the desalination water system?
We all have it; we just use deoxygenated water in normal situations~~~~ If anyone’s desalinated water doesn’t have stable parameters, they can simply use deoxygenated water~~~
