Dear experts, I would like to ask how to calculate the circulating water volume for each workshop. Since there are no flow meters at the inlet of each workshop, an estimate can only be made based on the diameter of the pipes. It is necessary to determine whether the head pressure provided by the pump is sufficient, taking into account the water consumption of each workshop.
How can the distribution amount be measured without a flow meter?

The diameter of the pipe only indicates the capacity to allow circulating water to pass through, and it has nothing to do with the actual flow rate. Just think about it: if you give someone a bowl, can you estimate how much rice that person can eat? The logic is wrong.
This is meant to drive the craftsmen to desperation – making us guess
Only estimation methods can be used. The approach I can think of is to find the original design documents for each workshop, which contain information on the amount of circulating water used; this assumes that no major technical modifications have been made to the installations.
How can we do without a flow meter? Add an electromagnetic flow meter during the technical upgrade!
Use an ultrasonic flow meter to measure the actual circulation water volume in each workshop.
We’ve encountered this situation too: they demand data for everything, refuse to install any flow meters, and still insist on precise management – claiming that data is what matters… I just laugh at that
