I would like to ask my friends: Is ammonia a flammable gas?
It certainly belongs to the category of flammable gases. Ammonia is a hydrogen-rich gas with strong reducing properties; although its combustion and explosion risk in air is low, it can burn or even explode in pure oxygen and some other oxidizing environments. Furthermore, ammonia is also a toxic gas due to its alkalinity and toxicity. The explosion rating of ammonia is IIA T1; it has a high ignition temperature, and its level of danger is in the same category as that of methane, ethane, benzene, etc.
Ammonia reacts with air (burns) to produce nitrogen and water.
It is a toxic, explosive, and flammable gas.
