Enterprises dealing with hazardous chemicals must pay attention to both safety production and epidemic prevention; they have to take on the responsibility of preventing outbreaks while ensuring safe working conditions for their employees. I. How to ensure safe production in the context of epidemic prevention and control? In the context of pandemic prevention and control, safety in production must not be overlooked; hazards should be identified daily, with special attention paid to high-risk areas. Flammable and explosive materials pose the greatest danger, so strict management is necessary to avoid complacency. Training employees helps improve their skills, thereby enhancing the ability to prevent accidents. Emergency preparedness must be thorough so that incidents can be dealt with promptly. Epidemic prevention and control: Laying a solid foundation for safety to support epidemic prevention and control. It is necessary to strictly comply with epidemic prevention requirements and actively cooperate with relevant departments in implementing measures such as disinfection, protection, and dynamic monitoring: 1. Regulate the entry and exit of employees – register their information upon arrival and take their body temperature; 2. Ensure good ventilation and regular disinfection in the workplace, require employees to wear personal protective equipment, and maintain proper distances between them while working; 3. Strengthen management of employees’ dining habits – avoid crowded dining situations, and arrange for employees to eat at different times or in separate seating areas. For companies that provide accommodation, strengthen access controls, keep dormitories clean and well-ventilated, and regularly disinfect public areas such as bathrooms. For employees who live outside the company premises, urge them to take appropriate protective measures for themselves and their families. III. Safe production: Strengthen management to prevent risks and curb the occurrence of various accidents in coal mines. 1. Pay special attention to the control of safety risks related to major disasters such as water damage, fires, gas explosions, and rock bursts; 2. Enhance emergency response capabilities; 3. Implement remote monitoring and supervision. For underground mines: 1. Strengthen the management of blasting safety; 2. Improve ventilation management; 3. Enhance the safety management at the work site; 4. Strengthen the management of electricity and fire use underground; 5. Increase the inspection, repair, and maintenance of safety facilities and equipment underground. For open-pit mines: 1. Strengthen the safety management of slopes; 2. Enhance the safety and technical management at the work site; 3. High-altitude and lifting operations must not be carried out in bad weather; 5. Blasting operations should be halted in case of bad weather before loading explosives for blasting. For tailing ponds: 1. Strengthen dam construction management and ore discharge management in winter; 2. Fully understand the storage conditions of hazardous chemical raw materials and products, and ensure that the company’s key personnel are on duty; 2. Enhance surveillance during shifts, and ensure that all necessary rescue supplies and equipment are available. In the industry of industry, commerce, and trade: 1. Prevent safety risks associated with high-intensity production in enterprises that manufacture masks, protective clothing, medical devices, etc.; 2. Prevent the risk of explosions caused by molten metal at high temperatures; 3. Prevent risks of gas poisoning as well as fires and explosions; 4. Prevent safety risks related to the use of hazardous chemicals; 5. Prevent safety risks associated with work in confined spaces.
