The sulfur content in the product gasoline is 6. What is the unit for this 6? What about gases?
The current National V gasoline standard requires a sulfur content of less than 10 ppm; therefore, the unit for sulfur content in gasoline products should be ppm. For gases such as the dry gas produced in refineries, the total sulfur or hydrogen sulfide content is generally expressed in mg/m3
If no unit is indicated after the numerical value, and no unit is specified in the legend or terms of reference, then the person asking should inquire with the organization or individual responsible for providing the data. The national standard specifies mg/kg
It should be ppm or micrograms per gram, or milligrams per kilogram.
