EPC General Contract for the LNG Production Facility Using Coke Oven Gas at Inner Mongolia Hengkun Chemical Co., Ltd

Recently, Sinochem Tianchen Company signed an EPC general contract for the LNG production facility built from coke oven gas, as part of the project to produce 2.6 million tons of compacted coke per year (with an initial capacity of 1.3 million tons per year, along with an accompanying LNG production facility), with Inner Mongolia Hengkun Chemical Co., Ltd. under Shandong Energy Xin Kuang Group. Xiao Qinghua, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Shandong Energy New Mine Group, Liu Jiyan, chairman of Inner Mongolia Hengkun Chemical Co., Ltd., and Guo Guihe, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Tianchen Company, attended the signing ceremony.
The Hengkun Chemical Coke Production and Comprehensive Utilization Project is a key coal chemical project within Shandong Energy Group’s strategy to develop an strategic energy base in Shanghaimiao, Inner Mongolia. It plays a crucial role in helping Xinkuang Group extend its coal industry chain in this region and promote industrial transformation and upgrading; it is also of great significance for optimizing the regional energy structure and improving energy utilization efficiency. This deep collaboration with Tianchen Company represents a precise alignment between the two parties, driven by regional development needs and leveraging their complementary technical strengths. It clearly demonstrates New Mine Group’s high appreciation for Tianchen Company’s professional capabilities and core competitiveness in the field of coal chemicals. It is hoped that both parties will take this signing as a new starting point, uphold the spirit of sincere cooperation, and advance the rapid implementation of the project with an efficient and pragmatic approach as well as a professional and meticulous attitude. This will provide strong impetus for Shandong Energy Group to fulfill its strategic mission of \"creating green energy and driving energy transformation,\" as well as to realize its vision of becoming a leading provider of clean energy in China. It is reported that this project is an important initiative for Inner Mongolia’s energy sector to achieve on-site conversion of coal and to develop a circular industrial chain. Once phases one and two of the project are completed and put into operation, it is expected to generate an annual output value of 3.5 billion yuan. The implementation of this project will promote the rational utilization of local and surrounding coal resources, accelerate resource conversion, extend the industrial chain, and achieve an organic integration of economic, social, and environmental benefits. It holds great significance for the adjustment of the industrial structure and **energy structure in Inner Mongolia.
