1. Overview: The super-fine acid centrifuges S5404A/B described in this data sheet are used in Anhui Haoyuan Chemical Group Co., Ltd.’s 160,000 tons per year adipic acid production project; a total of 2 units are employed. It is used for centrifugal dewatering of the adipic acid slurry thickened by the superacid thickener S5403A/B; after liquid-solid separation, an adipic acid solid material with a moisture content of ≤8wt% is obtained. The following are the requirements for a single centrifuge; the requirements are exactly the same for two units. 2. Operating Conditions 2.1 Centrifuge Feed 1) Material name: Aqueous solution containing adipic acid crystals 2) Material density: 1180 kg/m3 3) Material temperature: 20°C 4) Feed pressure: Approximately 7 m of liquid column height. 5) Solid content of the feed: 35±15% 6) Liquid: Definition – Aqueous solution of adipic acid; components: 0.2% HNO3, 4% adipic acid, with the remainder being H2O. Density: approximately 1013 kg/m³; viscosity: approximately 1 cP. 7) Crystals: True density of crystals: 1360 kg/m³; packed density of crystals: 800 kg/m³. Particle size distribution: Particle size ranges and corresponding percentages: <0.1 mm – 7%, 0.1–0.6 mm – 83%, 0.6–1.0 mm – 10%. 8) Corrosivity: Yes. 9) Flammability: No. 2.2 Washing 2.2.1 Desalinated water used for washing the filter cake during normal operation 1) Density: 1000 kg/m³ 2) Temperature: 30℃
