Does anyone have data on the solubility of hydrogen chloride in liquid chlorine?
Such data is difficult to find; it generally has to be sought in chlor-alkali plants that have hydrochloric acid production facilities, but it may not be available there either. Since hydrogen chloride is immediately absorbed to form hydrochloric acid after production, it has very little opportunity to come into contact with chlorine gas or liquid chlorine; therefore, data on hydrogen chloride dissolved in liquid chlorine is extremely scarce.
