Seeking advice: what type of storage tank can be used for liquid caustic – carbon steel lined with rubber, or stainless steel? ? ?
Heating is required in winter, as it is prone to alkali embrittlement.
You can give fiberglass a try; it works well, with many successful cases.
At normal temperature and pressure, 304 is sufficient
Carbon steel will do; if you have the money, stainless steel is also an option
Considering concentration and temperature, nickel and nickel-based alloys are the best choice
Both carbon steel and stainless steel can be used; the choice depends mainly on your subsequent production requirements. If strict quality standards are required for liquid alkali, then stainless steel should be chosen, while carbon steel is sufficient for less stringent requirements
