Can interface phenomena be used to explain the appearance of rainbows in the sky after rain in summer?
After rain, the air humidity is high, and there are many tiny liquid droplets in the air, which are spherical in shape. When light passes through the two surfaces of these spheres (upon entering and exiting), it is refracted. Since different colors of light have different refractive indices, this causes the light to disperse into different colors, resulting in a rainbow.
