A tank farm has 6 gasoline storage tanks with a capacity of 5,000 m3 each, and they are equipped with nitrogen seals. How should the total amount of nitrogen required for this tank farm be calculated? Is it the total nitrogen consumption of these 6 storage tanks? HG/T 20570.16 specifies the nitrogen consumption for a single storage tank; what I want to know is the total nitrogen consumption for several tanks in a tank farm.
The gas consumption per unit includes the volume resulting from temperature changes plus the volume of material entering and leaving. The temperature changes in the 6 storage tanks occur simultaneously, but the material flow in and out may not be synchronized; therefore, a simple addition is not possible, and the actual operation of the pumps must be taken into account.

The amount of nitrogen used for nitrogen sealing takes into account the small amount of breathing gas. There are two scenarios regarding the amount of nitrogen in a single tank: 1. The amount of nitrogen required due to fluctuations in temperature between day and night (this amount is not significant if the tank is insulated) ; 2. In the condition where only discharge occurs from the tank and no material is fed in, this is not a continuous process; the amount can be determined based on the size of the pump used for discharging material from the tank. As for whether the 6 tanks are stacked, it depends on the operating conditions. Condition 1 requires 6 tanks to be stacked together; for Condition 2, it depends on the actual situation. For example, if two tanks discharge simultaneously, the quantities from those two tanks need to be combined for Condition 2.
Material intake and output do not occur simultaneously, but heat exchange should take place at the same time; the amount of heat exchanged is quite significant. So how should the amount of heat breathing be considered?
