On May 6, an invitation for bids was issued for Bid Section 1 of the EPC general contract for the 2.4 million tons per year hydrocracking complex in Shanghai Petrochemical’s comprehensive technical transformation and quality improvement project. The comprehensive technical transformation and quality improvement project of Shanghai Petrochemical Company has been approved for implementation by Sinopec Corporation through the notice titled \"Notice on Issuing Shareholders’ Opinions on the Basic Design of the Hydrocracking Unit for Shanghai Petrochemical’s Comprehensive Technical Transformation and Quality Improvement Project\" [Sinopec Project No. [2026]10]. The project owner is Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd., with the construction funds coming from bank loans and funds raised by the company itself; 70% of the funds come from bank loans and 30% from the company’s own resources. The tendering party is Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd., while the tendering agency is Sinopec Group Tendering Co., Ltd. Nanjing Branch. The design, procurement, and construction (EPC) general contract for Phase 1 of the 2.4 million tons per year hydrocracking complex under Shanghai Petrochemical’s comprehensive technical transformation and quality improvement project is now ready for bidding, and public bidding is being conducted. Project Overview and Scope of Bidding: Construction location: No. 48, Jin Yi Road, Jinshan District, Shanghai. Bid section division: 1 bid section. Planned duration: 563 days. Estimated contract value for this bid section: 996.0489 million yuan (including taxes). Scope of the bidding for this section: The design (detailed engineering design and preparation of as-built drawings), procurement of materials, construction of the project (excluding pile foundation construction), as well as related technical services for the 2.4 million tons per year hydrocracking complex (including a PSA unit with a capacity of 60,000 standard cubic feet per hour and a solvent regeneration unit with a capacity of 280 tons per hour) as part of Shanghai Petrochemical’s comprehensive technical transformation and upgrading project. On June 10, 2025, the comprehensive technical transformation and upgrading project at Shanghai Petrochemical was launched.
