1. The pipeline number consists of five parts, separated by a short hyphen between each part. (1) Part 1: Material code. (2) Part 2: The project procedure (main item) number of the process in which the pipeline is located, and the pipeline sequence number. :The second part is abbreviated as the pipeline number. (3) Part 3: Nominal diameter of the pipeline. (4) Part Four: Pipeline grade. (5) Part V; codes for heat insulation, thermal retention, fire protection, and sound insulation. (6) The first part and the second part combined are collectively referred to as the “basic pipe number”; it is commonly used for describing pipes in table files, for indicating piping diagrams and pipe connections, as well as for marking the boundaries between different pipe numbers for the same pipe. 2.
