Is there any difference between on-site area alarms and audible and visual alarms? Aren’t they all meant to provide audible and visual alerts?
There are gas alarms, level alarms, pressure alarms, radiation alarms, and so on
It’s a sound-and-light alarm with a relatively loud sound.
Area alarms are generally installed at the entrance and exit of a set of equipment or a building, while audible and visual alarms are usually placed at the detection probes of the on-site devices. An alarm from any on-site detection probe will trigger the area alarm, serving to alert those entering and leaving the area that it is dangerous, thus acting as a warning. PS: A zone alarm is essentially a sound and light alarm; the difference is that it is installed in a different location compared to the sound and light alarms found on regular sensors
