Depending on the medium, in general, there is basically no way to recover material through activated carbon adsorption; the activated carbon must be processed again, so it’s not a good option
The exhaust gases in the tank area are divided into two categories: those generated by large breathing movements and those generated by small breathing movements. In the absence of any balancing devices in the tank area, the amount of these exhaust gases is quite significant. For a small tank area with an annual throughput of 20,000 m³ and around 60 filling cycles, the amount of exhaust gas generated due to large breathing movements is roughly equal to that generated due to small breathing movements. The volume of exhaust gas produced per unit of time is low, approximately 25 m³/h; however, the concentration of this gas is very high. Relying on just one activated carbon filter hardly provides any effect – it may be useful for about a week, after which its effectiveness disappears...
