What type should be used for the liquid level control in a 2-cubic-meter hermetically sealed filtration tank?

When transferring crude oil from tank trucks to pipelines at the North China Oilfield, we used ultrasonic level gauges to monitor the liquid level in the sealed oil transfer tanks, but the results were not very good. The tank has a volume of 2 cubic meters, with dimensions of 1 meter in height and width, and 1 meter in length; it is of horizontal design. The oil from the tank truck enters the tank due to its own weight, and the outlet of the tank is a pipeline. Downstream, the crude oil is pumped into large oil tanks using pumps. Each time, the oil discharge level gauge cannot be controlled accurately, resulting in pump shutdown (a interlock between the liquid level and the pump). Should we use ultrasound or radar? Or something else~?
How about the double-flange differential pressure type?
