A process package generally includes a PFD, PID, list of equipment, equipment condition diagrams, construction drawings, pipe material lists, pipe data sheets, instrument data sheets, and valve data sheets. The design review of a process package involves checking whether the design content is comprehensive enough, whether the depth of the design documents is sufficient for subsequent work, as well as verifying the consistency of the documents and the Rationality of the process control strategies. Alarm interlock lists, compressor data sheets, vacuum pump data sheets, data sheets for instruments and valves (including those related to safety valves, towers, containers, heat exchangers, etc.). The process package includes a process design description (covering aspects such as the process principle, selection of main equipment, utility consumption, and environmental protection), a Process Flow Diagram (PFD), a Process Instrumentation Diagram (PID), material balance sheets, suggested equipment layout diagrams, equipment data sheets (for containers, heat exchangers, towers), safety valve data sheets, and instrument specifications. The review of the process package is carried out through specialized discussions, such as those related to processes, equipment, safety, occupational health, automatic control, telecommunications, etc. The process team serves as the core group, first reviewing the process flow – ensuring that the main route is correct – after which other relevant specialties contribute to the review. The process package review is a team-based review process; although disagreements may arise from time to time, the process of exchanging ideas is itself a process of innovation. Many issues that were not considered can also be brought up.
In most cases, the review of the process package is merely a formality; the owner does not have a sufficient understanding of it, while the party responsible for the process package has its own preconceptions, and more changes tend to occur during the engineering design and construction phases
Process package review? ? Is this an internal review by the process package provider? Can the owner party conduct a review? How many can understand it?
Review construction drawings for the process package? Are the construction drawings ready for all the process packages? Then what’s the need for a design institute? The process package can be prepared completely, along with the construction drawings
The construction drawings are prepared by design institutes with the appropriate qualifications; the process package serves only as a basis for the design, and the owner needs to participate in the review and give approval. Although the technical capabilities of owners vary, it is still part of the procedure
That’s exactly what it means: the process package is given to the design institute, which then carries out the preparation of the construction drawings. The content of the process package does not include the construction drawings
