Is it the siphon principle that allows the water in the inner tank to flow into the outer tank? I don’t understand; how does the water in the inner tank flow outside through the pipes? The siphon principle is a thermodynamic phenomenon of internal flow fluids, involving the flow of fluid into a container at a higher level. It is widely used in tanks, including the circulation and heat exchange of various refrigerants, water purification, as well as the quantitative control of fluids. The essence of this principle is that, due to differences in density, fluid moves upward or downward within horizontal or vertical containers and pipes; in other words, the fluid flows from areas of lower density to those of higher density. As the fluid flows into the tank, the lighter fluids rise while the heavier fluids remain at the bottom or sink, resulting in effective mixing and stirring. Isn’t the liquid level in the small container higher than outside? Then it will just flow out.
When the liquid level in the outer tank is lower than that in the inner tank, siphoning occurs, and the liquid from the inner tank is drawn into the outer tank through the siphon tube
When the liquid level in the inner tank is higher than that in the outer tank, it is drawn into the outer tank due to the pressure difference caused by the liquid levels.
