I would like to ask my colleagues: As shown in the diagram, what are the problems with the condensate return pipe going directly back into the gas line?
Just take a screenshot directly; why do I get points deducted just for answering a question?
If a large amount of liquid forms after condensation in the gas phase, it may cause gas blockage and prevent proper flow of the liquid; If there is less liquid phase after condensation, it is easy for the gas phase entering the condenser to carry liquid, increasing the load on the condenser. If it is to be returned to the reactor, it is more appropriate to add it to the feed line of the reactor. I am not familiar with the diazotization reaction; these are just my personal opinions for reference only.
Under normal circumstances, the condensate return pipe leads directly back to the reactor. The reason for this question is that I saw a situation similar to the one shown in the image at a factory, and I’m not aware of the reason behind such a setup; that’s why I posted this question. It indicates that the pipeline layout in this factory is still somewhat imperfect
It is best to read this diagram carefully, or to review it in conjunction with the axis view from the actual installation site. The diameter of the gas phase pipe in the diagram is different from that of the reflux liquid pipe, and no issues seem to be present. For reference.

It’s better to be targeted; the principle cannot be determined solely based on a flowchart. A flowchart can only illustrate the general principles and is for reference only.
1. The return liquid pipe should be connected to a separate interface. 2. The reflux liquid pipe should also have a certain height of liquid seal.
