On March 30, an open tender was issued for specialized technical services related to flexible chemical processing in the 100,000-ton hydrogen-ammonia storage tank port integration project for wind-powered hydrogen production in Yingkou, Liaoning. The project owner is Huadian (Yingkou) Green Energy Co., Ltd., and it is located in Yingkou City, Liaoning Province. The scope of the project requires that, in light of developments in hydrogen energy technology and changes in relevant policies, the types and scale of products produced be adjusted as appropriate, while the overall volume of products produced remains roughly constant. A comprehensive plan is formulated for wind power, hydrogen production, energy storage, hydrogen storage, and the capacity for storing and transporting products, based on the production capacity of 100,000 tons per year of green ammonia, as well as the port trade volumes of 400,000 tons per year of liquid ammonia and 200,000 tons per year of methanol. As a result of in-depth preliminary work and the clarification of various boundary conditions, it was decided to construct a wind farm with a capacity of 400 MW along with the necessary transmission infrastructure. Additionally, facilities for hydrogen production via electrolysis at a capacity of 245 MW (49,000 Nm3/h), hydrogen storage capacity of 480,000 cubic meters, and a green ammonia production plant with an annual output of 100,000 tons will be built. There will also be a liquid ammonia storage tank with a capacity of 80,000 cubic meters. Supporting facilities such as nitrogen production using air separation technology, unloading systems within the plant site, fuel filling stations at the port, as well as utilities for water, electricity, and steam, will also be installed.
